Civil War Re-Enactment
Every year in Jefferson, Texas, a time portal seems to open up and allow visitors to step onto a Civil War battlefield in the 1860's. Cannons thunder, the cavalry rides once again with their swords raised high, and foot soldiers storm their opposing forces under heavy rifle fire and exploding shells. You can go strictly for the battle, or take an entire day to explore the camps and watch the hourly festivities!
